Assignment Handling Services

Assignment Handling Services provide assignment collection points at each campus. Student and submission details are entered into a database and the assignments are delivered to the academic staff member for marking.

Attendance

Information about whether a program is available full- or part-time study is specified on the Programs and Courses Website. Within programs courses may be available internally, externally or a combination of both.

Audition

A structured test for the purpose of admission to a performing or creative arts program.

Australian Graduate Survey (AGS)

The AGS is a national survey which is used to gather information from undergraduate and postgraduate course-work graduates of all Australian universities on an annual basis. The AGS has two components: Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS).

Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)

AHEGS is a supplementary statement to the testamur and the transcript that provides information to enhance understanding of the qualification by students, employers, industry, professional associations and internationally.

Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulating qualifications in Australia. It prescribes the criteria for each qualification type.

Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank

A score (expressed as a rank from 99-0 or as an OP from 1-25) allocated by a Studies Authority to represent the educational order of merit of an applicant who has completed Year 12 and used to determine the applicant's eligibility for an admission offer and to rank applicants for merit-based selection.

Austudy

Federal Government income support for full-time students aged 25 years and over.

Award Abbreviation

The official abbreviation of the award, as used post-nominally by graduates of the program, e.g. BA, BSc.. Award abbreviations are displayed on the Programs and Courses Web Site.

Award Major

For particular programs the testamur may include additional words to indicate the major or stream a student has successfully completed. See Awards, Nomenclature and Abbreviations Policy.
